As a Copywriter on the Development and Fundraising team, you will create a range of communications designed to engage, nurture, retain, and upgrade new and current donors. To succeed in this role, you will have proven experience writing communications that inspire individuals to action.

How You Will ContributeCreate copy for products targeted to our major gifts, mid-level giving, and donor prospectsWrite compelling multi-page proposals and digital campaigns for major gifts, mid-level giving, and smaller dollar donor prospects, and ensure all copy is on brand and appropriate for key target audiencesResearch organizations and campaigns to develop/maintain an understanding of messaging/positions on key issues and pitch package concepts that align withkey issues-of-focusChampion data-driven decisions and creative testing strategiesTrack and analyze performance of Direct Mail campaigns to optimize program strategies and results to constantly improve copy and resultsCraft impact reports, newsletters, annual reports, and additional cultivation piecesCreate digital copy for landing pages, digital surveys, paid ad copy and emails that help deliver growth and acquisition of net new donorsDrive ongoing communication plans for existing donorsWhat You Will Bring
5+ years of experience in writing, grant writing, or marketing/communications for a variety of audiencesAbility to work cross functionally in a complex work environment and influence key stakeholdersExcellent time-management skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple projectsUnderstanding and interest of U.S. political dynamics and ability to simplify complex issuesEnthusiasm to contribute to Stand Together's vision and principled approach to solving problems, and a commitment to stewarding our culture, which champions values including transformation and innovation, entrepreneurialism, humility, and respect.Standout Candidates Will Bring
Experience working in Adobe Art Design or similar design programs to produce direct mail pieces.Experience writing copy for mail and email solicitation and cultivation campaigns, as well as phone scripts for internal stakeholders to make calls to donors and prospects.What We Offer
