The New Business Development - Services Role
We are seeking a highly motivated New Business Development - Services Seller specializing in Condition Monitoring Systems and Bearing Reconditioning Services. As a pivotal member of our sales team, you will leverage your technical expertise to drive business growth by promoting and selling advanced solutions that enhance the reliability and performance of our key customers' industrial machinery.
Responsibilities
Solution Selling:
Identify customer needs and propose tailored solutions involving condition monitoring systems (CMS) and bearing reconditioning services. Collaborate closely with customers to understand their operational challenges and demonstrate how our offerings can address these effectively.Product Expertise:
Develop a deep understanding of our condition monitoring systems, including vibration analysis, thermal imaging, oil analysis, and other predictive maintenance technologies. Stay updated on advancements in bearing reconditioning techniques and services.Customer Engagement:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including maintenance managers, reliability engineers, and plant managers. Conduct technical presentations and demonstrations to showcase the benefits of our solutions.Consultative Sales Approach:
Adopt a consultative selling approach to guide customers through the decision-making process. Provide technical advice and support during pre-sales and post-sales phases, ensuring seamless implementation and customer satisfaction.Market Analysis:
Monitor market trends and competitor activities related to condition monitoring systems and bearing services. Use insights to formulate strategies that differentiate our offerings and capture new business opportunities.Collaboration:
Work closely with the sales team, industry specialists and CMS product support teams to optimize sales efforts and ensure alignment with customer expectations.Sales Performance:
Achieve sales targets and objectives as outlined by the company. Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline management using CRM tools.
Qualifications
Technical Background:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field preferred. Strong technical knowledge of condition monitoring principles and bearing technologies is essential.Sales Experience:
Proven track record in value added technical sales, preferably in the industrial sector with a focus on predictive maintenance solutions or bearing sales. Experience in selling condition monitoring systems or related technologies is highly advantageous. This job requires a minimum of 6-8 years in industrial technical sales, 8-10 years preferred.Communication Skills:
Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences effectively.Problem-Solving Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to understand customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions.Team Player:
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Willingness to travel as needed to interact with customers (~50% travel).Results-Driven:
