About the Role:
CrowdStrike is in search of a skilled Senior Data Center Architect to join our team and play a pivotal role in designing and implementing state-of-the-art data center facilities. The Senior Data Center Architect will be responsible for the comprehensive design and development of our future data center infrastructure through the architectural and engineering design of our data center facilities. This role encompasses power distribution design, cooling infrastructure, and the evaluation of land for potential acquisition. The ideal candidate will also have a strong background in securing power rights from utility companies and coordinating with fiber providers to ensure a robust connectivity strategy.
What You'll Do:
Lead the design and architecture of new data center facilities, ensuring alignment with company standards and industry best practices.Conduct feasibility studies for potential data center sites, including land acquisition assessments and zoning regulations.Secure power rights and manage relationships with utility providers to ensure reliable energy supply.Develop and maintain detailed architectural plans, specifications, and documentation for data center projects.Collaborate with engineering, construction, and operations teams to ensure successful project execution.Implement energy-efficient solutions and sustainability practices in data center design.Evaluate and recommend innovative design technologies to enhance data center performance and reliability.Oversee compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards throughout the design and construction phases.Stay current with industry trends and technological advancements to incorporate innovative solutions into designs.What You'll Need:
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.7+ years of experience in data center design and architecture, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.Proven experience in land acquisition processes and negotiating power rights agreements.In-depth knowledge of data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, and security systems.Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Familiarity with industry standards and certifications (e.g., Uptime Institute, TIA-942).#LI-LY1
