General SummaryAs part of the Information Technology team, the Business Systems Analyst plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. This role is responsible for analyzing business requirements, designing and documenting technical specifications, and ensuring the successful implementation of information systems
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Analyze existing processes, identify pain points, and propose solutions that align with business objectivesDevelop detailed functional specifications that clearly articulate the desired outcomes of the systemCollaborate with Product Teams, Development, Architecture, and all other internal and external partnersCreates & updates documentationCoordinate unit and end-to-end testingManage and maintain vendor partnerships
Technical Skills and Abilities
Understanding of SDLCProject management and planning activities, including estimating timelines, tracking progress, identifying risks, etc.Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insightsFamiliarity with software development, databases, and deployment methodsExcellent oral and written communication skillsStrong understanding of business processes and systemsCreative thinking and analytical skills
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or the equivalent in education and work experience3-5+ years experience in business analysis or support in healthcare organizations
