Senior Accountant.
Nextworld builds a forward-thinking, no-code, cloud-based development and runtime platform with robust capabilities for enterprise applications.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Finance and Accounting, this role will play a critical part in the timely completion of month-end close, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
Will be responsible will for managing key accounting functions and ensuring the accuracy of financial data for a multi-national organization. The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical accounting background and experience working in a SaaS or tech environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assists in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including preparation of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysisPrepares and maintains financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRSHandles multi-currency transactions, consolidations, and intercompany transactions for international operationsSupports the preparation and review of tax filings and ensures compliance with applicable local and international tax regulationsAssists with audit preparation and provide information to external auditorsWorks closely with other departments to streamline processes, enhance financial reporting, and implement system improvementsEnsures compliance with internal controls, policies, and proceduresAssists in financial analysis and ad hoc reporting, as requiredSupports the accounting team in other areas as needed, including payroll, accounts payable, and receivableUtilizes Nextworld's platform software and assists with on-going automation of tasks, identification of new financial functionality and collaboration with internal development team to scope, test and implementEnsures supporting documentation is properly maintained in accordance with best practices and internal record-retention policiesEnsures compliance with internal controls over financial reportingStays current on accounting standards and adopt new, required accounting standards with support of the Senior Director, Finance and AccountingPerforms special projects and any other duties and responsibilities, as may be assignedRequirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or a combination of education and equivalent work experience.3 - 5 years' experience in accounting, preferably within the SaaS, technology, or software industriesStrong understanding of GAAP and experience with multi-currency accounting and international financial reportingAdvanced proficiency in accounting software. Experience with ERP systems preferred, e.g., Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, Legacy JD Edwards, etc.Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skillsAbility to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication skills and a team-player mindsetDesired Experience:
CPA preferredKnowledge and experience with revenue recognition standards (e.g., ASC 606) and experience with expense allocationsAnnual Salary Range:
$75K - $110K per year

We build the no-code enterprise application platform (a.k.a. "EAP") that is used by Nextworld's customers and partners to create and run enterprise-grade business solutions. We have a knack for abstracting complex technical concepts into no-code facilities that are straightforward to use. The Platform allows for the development and execution of involved, integrated business applications - complete with workflow, business logic, eventing, external callouts, notifications, various user experiences, artificial intelligence, and more. Examples of applications suites built on the Platform are enterprise financials, sales, inventory, manufacturing, and real estate.
