Key Responsibilities:
Data Collection & Management:
- Gather and document ESG data across the enterprise for both internal and external reporting.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of all ESG metrics.
- Collaborate to streamline and automate data collection and reporting processes.
Reporting & Analysis:
- Lead the completion of annual ESG reporting requirements, including frameworks like CDP, Ecovadis, THESIS, GRI, SASB, Gigaton, as well as regulatory filings for Sabert and its customers (e.g., CSRD, PCR, EPR).
- Provide ESG data and content for internal reports, customer inquiries, and our annual ESG report.
- Develop templates, reports, and scorecards to track progress and highlight best practices.
- Conduct Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) using third-party tools to address customer and internal needs.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, benchmarking against best practices to maintain leadership in sustainability.
- Monitor evolving reporting regulations, educating internal teams to maintain compliance and timely adaptation to new standards.
- Develop, track and report Sabert's GHG reduction goals in alignment with Science-Based Targets (SBTi).
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including commercial, NPD, finance, EHS, engineering, sustainability, HR, sourcing, and marketing to manage key data inputs for reporting and stakeholder needs.
- Partner with IT and finance to strengthen data management, controls, and disclosure practices.
- Centralize ESG disclosures to support external reporting, ratings, rankings, and stakeholder engagement.
- Contribute to the development of best practices, scopes of work, and training materials for sustainability programs.
- Conduct research and benchmarking to build expertise in ESG.
- Assist with both internal and external communications as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Sustainability, Sustainable Finance, or a related field preferred.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in sustainability reporting, with a strong preference for experience in ESG data analysis.
- Excellent analytical skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Experience with Power BI, PowerPoint, and Excel is essential.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage data in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
- Knowledge of voluntary environmental reporting protocols (e.g., GHG Protocol) and product carbon footprints is a plus.
- Familiarity with global ESG frameworks and regulatory standards, including Ecovadis, CSRD, GRI, CDP, SASB, and TCFD, is highly beneficial.
