- A large hospital in Arizona is looking for experienced ER/Emergency Room RNs for a travel assignment.
- The right candidate will have 2 years of experience, hold an active BLS, ACLS, PALS and TNCC.
Job Details
- Must have 2 years of experience
- Hold an active BLS, ACLS, PALS
- Active AZ license or compact
- Must have 1 year of trauma level 1 experience; will screen 8 months+
- Must have Cerner experience
- No first time travelers
- **DAY 1 PASS FAIL EXAM: STUDY GUIDE PROVIDED WITH FDI
- PASS FAIL SIMs Lab: All RNs will be expected to complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion & central line dressing changes
Job Requirements
- Shifts: 7a-7p, 7p-7a, 11a-11p, 1p-1a
- Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per month, at unit discretion
- 12 hour nights, 4 total weekend shifts per 4 weeks, 2 out of 3 major holidays
Schedule Information
- Unit: ED / Trauma
- # beds: Acute - 36 and Subacute - 54. Trauma bays - 6 (no travelers)
- Ratios: 1:4 ratio
- EMR: Cerner
- Charge Nurse: 2 Charge RNs - will task or have light patient load
- Nurse Aides: 4-PCTs for sitters
- Scrub Color: Navy
- Tele: Phillips monitors, must be able to read strips
- Vents: Managed by RT
- Hospitalist or Intensivists in house: Minimum of 2 MDs or as many as 8. Midlevels also utilized.
- IV Team: Core RNs are US trained
- RT 24/7: Yes
- Pharmacy 24/7: Yes, Pharmacist in ER 10hrs/day
- Floor specific orientation: 2-3 shifts on the floor
- Floating: Float within ER
Unit Specific Information
- Medical Solutions Pre-Screens, if clinical recommends AUTO OFFER
- Candidate is required to pass DYS exam PRIOR to accepting. 2 attempts
- Float Policy details
- Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Trauma, Burns and Peds transferred out. CP Center, Spinal Cord TBIN certification. 88,000 patients per year, 250-300 per day
- 30-40 psych holds
