Hold an active BLS, ACLS, PALS and TNCC.Must have an active AZ license or compact.MUST HAVE 1 YEAR OF TRAUMA LEVEL 1 EXPERIENCE; WILL SCREEN 8 MONTHS+MUST HAVE CERNER EXPERIENCE, PLEASE NOTE ON RESUME UNDER WORK HISTORY TO CONFIRM HOW RECENTBasic Dysrhythmia Exam Required PRIOR to sending the contract, 2 attempts, if failed, candidate is DNU with CS AZ and Sacramento for 6 monthsRequired Certs: BLS, ACLS, PALSPreferred Certs: TNCC and ATCNENPC not allowed to replace PALS CertSchedule Information
Contract length is 13 weeks.Shifts: 7a-7p, 7p-7a, 11a-11p, 1p-1a4 weekend shifts per month, at unit discretion12 Hour Shifts, 1900-0730, 4 total weekend shifts per 4 weeks, 2 out of 3 major holidaysFloor specific orientation: 2-3 shifts on the floor.Unit Specific Information
Unit: ED / TraumaRatios: 1:4 ratioEMR: CernerCharge Nurse: 2 Charge RNs - will task or have light patient load.Nurse Aides: 4-PCTs for sitters.Scrub Color: NavyTele: Phillips monitors, must be able to read strips.Vents: Managed by RTHospitalist or Intensivists in house: Minimum of 2 MDs or as many as 8. Midlevels also utilized. AnesthesiaIV Team: Core RNs are US trained.RT 24/7: YesPharmacy 24/7: Yes, Pharmacist in ER 10hrs/dayFloating: Float within ER.# beds: Acute - 36 and Subacute - 54. Trauma bays - 6 (no travelers)Common diagnosis/Types of patients: Trauma, Burns and Peds transferred out.Additional Details
The hospital expects that every nurse is competent in these areas, especially maintaining sterile field, as these are nursing skills that are performed frequently. Lifts, restraints, & wound care just educational based since the equipment & policies can be different facility to facility.Common diagnosis/Types of patients: Trauma, Burns and Peds transferred out. CP Center, Spinal Cord TBIN certification. 88,000 patients per year, 250-300 per day.30-40 psych holds. 2 years ER experience.Float Policy: Can be float between St. Joseph's Main, St. Joseph's Westgate, and the 2 Free Standing ERs in Litchfield Park & Glendale. (4 facilities total) about 30 mins apart, can be floated midshift
