A large system in Nebraska/Iowa are looking for ICU RN's. 12 hour shifts, 36 hours guaranteed. 2 years of unit experience. 13 Week contract.Job Requirements
2 years of unit experience.# of Beds: 34Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:1-2 ICU, 1:4 PCUCommon diagnoses/Types of patients: Adults and Peds >15 years old, Neuro surgery, Respiratory failure, ARDS, MODS, sepsis, stroke, cardiogenic shock, renal failure, general surgery, psych/OD, GI bleedsRN's required to titrate drips: Yes - Vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, antiarrhythmicsCharge Nurse on each shift: Yes- will attend RRTs and CodesNurse aids/patient care techs on this unit.RT Equipment: RN's need to be proficient from Nasal cannula to ventsSchedule Information
Shifts: 0630-1830, 1830-0630Weekend Requirements: Every otherHoliday Requirements: Every other or as neededFloating Requirements: Will float to all inpatient units, excluding Maternity/NICUOrientation: 2 shifts of unit/department specific orientationSchedule based on unit needsUnit Specific Information
Med Surg ICU RNCharge nurse takes assignment and attends RRTs and CodesTele/Monitor Techs: No techs - RNs need to be able to read and interpret telemetryScrub Color/Dress Code: Navy BlueAdditional Details
Fast-paced unit with volume flexesAttributes for a successful nurse: ability to ask questions, positive attitude, willingness to help, critical thinking skills, and collaborative approachCandidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
