Minimum Qualifications
Required Education:
Associate Degree with 6 years of progressively responsible management experience in a supervisory role in an event planning function in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
Required Experience:
4 years of experience in a leadership role managing special events, conferences, and/or similar revenue-generating venues.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service, and ability to generate revenue
Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Must have excellent organizational skills
Preferred Experience:
8 years of leadership experience in events management, facilities, or related fields.
Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) is an asset
Proven experience in business development, venue management, and revenue generation.
Experience with budgeting, financial forecasting, and performance analytics.
Familiarity with event management software and a background in higher education or nonprofit settings is a plus.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Able to oversee and properly schedule staff,
Able to draft contracts and monitor contractors.
Able to assess complex situations and make decisions and/or recommendations across departments and functions.
Able to develop and accomplish revenue goals.

The Director of Venue and Events Management is a strategic leader responsible for driving the growth and success of BRCC’s facility rental and events management services for BRCC's internal and external events. This role focuses on revenue generation through innovative business development strategies, marketing outreach, and strong client engagement. The Director will build and execute a comprehensive business plan with clear revenue targets while leading a team to deliver high-impact services.

Oversee all operations related to venue rentals, marketing, vendor partnerships, and event logistics, ensuring the smooth execution of rental services that align with BRCC’s broader goals.
Establish and enforce standards, create efficient workflows, and lead a team that delivers high-quality events supporting BRCC’s mission.
Lead the Venue and Events team in developing and implementing best practices for event planning, client engagement, and operational excellence.
Set the strategic direction for internal and external events, fostering a culture of consistency, quality, and high service standards across all event functions.
Implement event management software to streamline scheduling, billing, and tracking, enhancing efficiency and client satisfaction.
Develop and enforce standardized policies and procedures for bookings, pricing, and vendor partnerships, ensuring seamless service and consistent operations.
Drive revenue growth through innovative business development strategies and targeted marketing outreach to expand BRCC’s presence in the community.
Build and execute a comprehensive business plan with measurable revenue targets, aligning with BRCC’s financial and strategic goals.
Establish strategic partnerships with corporate, nonprofit, and government entities to maximize venue usage and foster long-term client relationships.
Facilitate effective and clear communication across Venue and Events, Facilities, IT, and Public Safety, ensuring responsibilities are met and aligned with event requirements.
Monitor key performance metrics, including revenue, client satisfaction, and operational efficiency, using data to inform continuous improvement initiatives.
