This position will support the general ledger and those responsibilities associated with balancing and reconciliation. This position's primary focus will be associated with reporting and analysis and the need to maintain the integrity of the underlying general ledger information. It will also be responsible for continuous improvement efforts and initiatives and will manage a staff of 1.
Education and Experience:
Bachelors in Accounting or Finance is required or equivalent work experience
Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred
10+ years’ experience in accounting and reporting
3+ years public accounting experience preferred
P&C insurance experience is preferred
CPA is a plus
Knowledge and Skills:
Strong analytical skills
Organized and detail oriented
Ability to influence at all levels of management
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work within tight time frames
Strong computer skills including Excel spreadsheets, macros and working with databases. (SAP, PeopleSoft G/L and nVision, Power BI, SQL, SAP Business Objects or other digital reporting tools)
