Overview
Responsible for the management of hospital and parts of professional services accounts receivable. This includes cash posting, collections, bad debt, and charity care billing and customer service oversight. Ensures all work processes are performed in a compliant fashion. Adapts to and supports corporate initiatives that impact the Patient Financial Services functions. Provides subject matter expertise; plans, coordinates, and directs all activities associated with areas of responsibility. Is accountable for protecting the accounts receivable asset by ensuring that contemporary processes and systems are utilized that promote strong cash collections, minimizes bad debt and provides an excellent patient experience.

Five (5) years management experience in a healthcare setting, preferably patient financial services/the business office.Experience to include program development and staff supervision.SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to collaborate with all levels in the organization.Proficient in Microsoft Office products including but not limited to: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.Responsibilities
Monitors employee performanceEnsures timely communicationsGoal setting, performance evaluations, wage increases and continued personnel actions.Develops, analyzes, and manages capital and operating budget within agreed upon standardsEnsures smooth operation of all departmental functions according to approved policiesOperates in accordance with all state and federal law and applicable accreditation standards.Establishes and ensures that the overall objectives relating to the Carle Experience are achieved.Provides leadership, vision, and management to assigned department(s).Sets departmental strategic direction, goals and develops appropriate tactical plans to meet themOversees the development, review, and revision of department policies and procedures.Develops, reviews, and revises organization-wide charity care policyBuilds a dynamic team dedicated to attaining optimal outcomes.Maintains an active relationship with key vendorsSupports the overall workflows and procedures utilized by patient financial services
