Participate in the clinical care of patients, principally those with cerebrovascular disorders, under the administrative structure of the University Medical Group according to a schedule determined by the Division Chief. The principal activity will be with inpatients.Management of patients with conditions that require Neurocritical CareWork collaboratively with Stroke team, Neurosurgery and Acute Care Surgery to develop a NCC service at RWJUH and a NCC call scheduleProvide attending coverage as a neuro-intensivistParticipate in teaching of medical students, residents, and stroke fellowsReports directly to the director of the Neuro-Intensive Care Unit and chief of the division of Stroke and Neurocritical Care.Provide leading medical and clinical aspects of the service.Participate in policy development, policy compliance and professional and patient education.Monitor clinical indicators to determine if measurable standards are met.Work with hospital leadership team to establish a framework for the provision of safe, high-quality care, treatment and services.Attend meetings and provide support to committees and staff in policy development.CORPORATE COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:Keeps abreast of all pertinent federal, state and Rutgers' regulations, laws and policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.Ensures that the staff are trained and evaluated on their knowledge of and adherence to compliance policies and procedures specific to their jobs.Position Status:
