The Software Architect plays a pivotal role in designing and implementing software solutions. As a technical leader, you’ll collaborate with multiple software development teams, ensuring the successful delivery of robust and efficient software products. Join our dynamic team and make your mark on the technology landscape!This will be an individual contributor role reporting to the Vice President of Cloud Engineering & Technical Operations.ResponsibilityDesign and manage the direction and architecture of the Container-based Microservices Framework, all aspects of Cloud Engineering, security strategies, and compliance, and ensure alignment with legal and regulatory standardsPlay a critical part in safeguarding access to information and maintaining partner trustEvaluate, identify and develop Software Architectures and SolutionsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the current state, identify gaps, and determine functional and non-functional requirements for new software or applicationsUse tools and methodologies to design representations for functionality and user interfaces of desired productsAdhere to industry-standard architecture review processes for broader alignment and lead architecture reviewsEstablish a framework for continuous improvement and refinement of software product delivery, emphasizing SDLC efficiency from software design to system architecture, including microservicesLead software development projects by providing technical leadership and accountability to development teams, guiding project direction and ensuring successParticipate in architectural decisions across all projects, contributing to their strategic and operational excellenceEstablish High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) principles and technologiesDrive system architecture, including networks, databases, and cloud services, focusing on HA and DR design and implementationDevelop and uphold a standard 'gold' configuration and software version across the entire infrastructure to ensure consistency and reliabilityDefine and drive delivery of efficient and reliable automated recovery and site failoverDefine and drive delivery of data backup, restoration, and replication strategiesWhat you bring
BasicBachelor's Degree in Engineering, Technology, or a relevant field15+ years of extensive experience as a hands-on architect and engineer, demonstrating a profound and comprehensive understanding of various coding and programming languagesExtensive prior experience leading and building Cloud Architecture for Mid to Large size organizationsExperience with Data and data storageExperience with cloud services and infrastructure use and operationsExperience with AWS/Azure cloud native compute (e.g., AKS/EKS), storage, and networking solutionsExperience setting up load balancers, VPCs/Azure Subnets, security groups, and overall networking
