Servicing experts

service all Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and FHA Finance loans originated by Walker & Dunlop as well as certain life insurance company, bank, and CMBS loans. Our Servicing experts are the borrower’s primary point of contact and ensure that the requirements of the investors are met from loan closing through payoff. The Department consists of six main functional areas: Loan Administration, Asset Management, Insurance Compliance, Investor Reporting, Treasury, and Compliance. W&D’s Servicing portfolio is the 8th largest in the U.S., and W&D is one of Fitch’s highest-rated Servicers, with a rating of CPS1-.The Impact You Will HaveThis senior level position is a key member of the Asset Management team, responsible for the management of an assigned portfolio of assets, overseeing performance and devising recommendations to Company management on each asset as needed. Support team in special projects, change management, initiatives, and serve as a resource for junior team members and internal clients outside the department.Primary ResponsibilitiesManage and complete internal property inspections for multifamily and commercial properties.Coordinate and review annual property inspections with third party inspection vendors, including recommendations based on results follow up with borrowers, develop course of action, enlist senior management buy-in on action plan.Conduct and review quarterly and annual financial analysis for multifamily and commercial loans in the portfolio (e.g., collect financial data, analyze financial statements, summarize and present findings, identify and quantify risk, along with proposed adjustments/solutions).Monitor completion and other special escrows and prepare recommendations for disbursements.Review, revise and monitor related loan obligations/compliance for Letters of Credit.Prepare and finalize Narratives for partnership interest transfers and loan assumptions.Process and provide recommendation for management changes.Recommend and approve partial release, condemnation, and easement requests.Communicate with clients to determine appropriate loan arrangements.Oversee and manage Credit Facilities for compliance, performance and process release, additions, substitutions, and borrow-up transactions.Manage assets on the internal watch list (e.g., maintain communication channels with borrower, develop quarterly action plans, present status, and recommendations to senior management).Monitor portfolio delinquency and major property deferred maintenance issues, and make recommendations to senior management.Review and document sponsor plans and develop strategies for upcoming loan maturities.Oversee department market research, property segment and portfolio reports.Assist in the automation of the Asset Management Department data as necessary.Handle additional projects as assigned.Perform other duties as assigned.Attendance is generally 8:30 am – 5:30 pm EST Monday through Friday with the ability to work up to 2 of those days remotely.Education and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field.6-10 years of experience in Asset Management required.Ability to travel independently/operate a motor vehicle for property inspections.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesDeveloped written and communication skills.Ability to travel independently for property inspections.Strong analytical skills, including use of all MS Office products, plus experience with database software and computer integration.Excellent organizational skills.Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with strong work ethic to meet daily challenges of a fast-paced environment.Ability to show ownership of your work, take on challenges and acknowledge growth opportunities, and demonstrate patience when learning new processes.Courtesy, respect, and thoughtfulness in teaming with colleagues and other stakeholders.This position has an estimated base salary of $90,000 - $100,000 plus discretionary bonus.
