About the Role
The Company is actively seeking a passionate and experienced Director of Philanthropic Development to spearhead fundraising initiatives for the foundation's cancer institute. This is a tremendous opportunity for a results-oriented professional with a Bachelor’s degree and 7-10 years of direct fundraising experience, ideally within an academic medical center or similar environment. In this empowering role, you will play a critical part in engaging donors and volunteers to further support our mission focused on cancer treatment, research, and education.
Your responsibilities will include fostering a culture of philanthropy, managing relationships with high-potential prospects, and collaborating closely with the Institute's leadership to achieve ambitious fundraising goals. This position is vital in a community that is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of its residents, especially addressing the challenges posed by the state's high cancer mortality rate.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong track record in individual fundraising, a talent for engaging diverse stakeholders, and a forward-thinking vision for philanthropy in healthcare. You will be expected to provide guidance, mentorship, and strategic direction to a team of committed professionals. Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to balance the needs of various stakeholders, and a collaborative approach to development are essential for success in this role.
