Job Title: Assembly Technician in Hayward
Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and skilled Assembly Technician to join our team. This role involves performing basic mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies, operating hand and power tools, and ensuring that quality standards are met throughout the assembly process. The ideal candidate will have the ability to read and interpret work instructions accurately and interact effectively with management and team members on the production floor.
Responsibilities
Perform basic mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies.
Conduct leak tests.
Operate hand and power tools to complete assemblies.
Read and interpret work instructions to ensure accuracy of work performed.
Encourage effective communication on the production floor by interacting with management and team members.
Perform standard testing and minor and major troubleshooting.
Ensure quality standards are met throughout all steps of the assembly process.
Perform other duties as required.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
Experience with mechanical and electronic assembly.
Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
Troubleshooting skills.
Experience with cable and harness assembly.
Knowledge of electrical wiring and assembly processes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in a non-manufacturing environment is considered.
Cable and harness assembly experience is a plus.

Work Environment
The work is primarily performed in a standard manufacturing environment. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The role involves physical demands such as stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, walking, pushing, pulling, and grasping. The ability to lift up to 25 lbs. or more with assistance is required. You must be able to move your arms, hands, and fingers effectively. Wearing personal protective equipment is mandatory where applicable. The environment is subject to frequent interruptions, exposure to electrical currents, moving mechanical parts, chemicals, debris, and noise levels. The shift for this position is from 6 am to 3 pm, Monday through Friday.
