At LG, we strive to make Life Good for Everyone.SummaryThe Assistant General Counsel, Air Solutions, will provide general legal support for the Air Solutions Division of LG Electronics USA Inc. (LGEUS) in Alpharetta, Georgia.ResponsibilitiesDraft, review, and support negotiation of various types of complex agreements, including services, purchasing, distributor, sales representative, commercial and government clients, RFPs, nondisclosure, technology, and licensing for LG’s commercial and residential HVAC and related businesses.Review and advise on proposed marketing and other external communications, including press releases, external presentations, white papers, remarks, and other materials.Support defense of pre-litigation claims and lawsuits and government administrative agency actions or investigations.Serve as a trusted advisor, counseling the Air Solutions division on legal obligations and guiding business decisions within prudent risk levels.Manage outside law firm partners. Budget and track spending and associated forecasting and reporting requirements for litigation matters.Generally support LG Electronics’ B2B business teams in the U.S. as needed.QualificationsJD degree, plus at least 7-9 years’ relevant experience.Strong execution and project management skills and ability to corral stakeholders from across a global organization on cross-functional projects.Experience with commercial construction litigation is a plus.In-house legal experience preferred.Highly developed organizational skills and the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects with aggressive timelines.Ability to work independently and with accountability within a multinational corporate group.Position located in Alpharetta, GA, with travel (20%) required.
