Solution Architect

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
The Solution Architect role provides technical expertise and guidance to architect, engineer, and design enterprise solutions. The position performs a critical role in understanding strategic program vision, developing effective solutions, and consistently providing high-level customer service. In addition to program wide architecture and engineering responsibilities, the candidate will provide Product Owner (PO) responsibilities for an evolving Data Analytics implementation. This role will be hands on with the candidate able to dig into current solution implementations assessing COTs and custom system integrations for compliance, operational stability with significant focus on security profiles.
Detailed responsibilities include:
Architect and design enterprise-class systems across multiple environments
Identify, propose, and present current and emerging technology concepts
Conduct design workshops with multiple stakeholders
Develop strategic visionary plans for architecture, engineering, and integration.
Identify risks and develop impact analysis to technology, business objectives and schedule
Design, implement and maintain service catalog and service level procedures
Support development and delivery of initiative and contractual proposals
Assisting in rectifying issues and improving service
Evaluate, document and prioritize work stream in support of the Data Analytics environment.
Participate in SAFe PI Planning as Product Owner representing the Data Analytics environment
Propose visionary guidance supporting the growth of Data Analytics across the program
Minimum Qualifications:
10+ years of enterprise level architecture and engineering experience
7+ years of systems administration, engineering, and systems automation experience
Technical leadership in Enterprise Architecture (EA), Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), and IT Service Delivery
Experience in conducting assessments at an Enterprise level, reviewing technical documentation, conducting interviews and workshops, identifying gaps and developing tailored solutions.
Experience developing, configuring, and delivering COTS solutions in support of enterprise IT infrastructure design (e.g. network, storage, virtualization, database, 3rd party tools)
Experience working with Data Analytics methodologies and technologies (Predictive Analytics, Distributed Storage, Data Virtualization, Data Integration, Data Preprocessing, Data Quality)
Experience with Data Analytics Tooling (IBM Integrated Analytics System, DB2 Warehouse, Podman Containers, Zeppelin Notebook, R, Python, OBIEE)
Experience in assessing Security findings identified by tools like Tenable, Burp, AppScan
Preferred Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline.
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Cisco Certified Design Expert (CCDE) or Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification(s).
Extensive experience working and executing within agile organizations (e.g. SAFe, Scrum)
Experience implementing technical solutions in complex and heterogeneous environments
Experience with Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning
Experience leading multi-organizational and matrixed resources and teams
In depth experience with common scripting languages and modern automation tools
Broad experience deploying technical solutions into enterprise-wide infrastructure
Demonstrated expertise in security policy and operational implementation
Experience understanding organizational needs, proposing solutions, and managing projects
Strong experience ensuring customer satisfaction, problem resolution, and risk management on several medium to large projects.
Clearance Requirements:
Active DOD Secret clearance is required along with the ability to obtain an agency specific suitability clearance
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain stationary up to 75% of the time in an office environment.
Must be able to traverse between one work location to another to accomplish work duties.
Must be able to operate IT equipment such as a computer, copier, fax machine, etc.
Must be able to communicate effectively with management and co-workers to exchange information accurately.
Must be able to read, review and effectively respond to electronic as well as verbal communications.
This position supports an IT operations environment. Candidates may need to support work on nights and weekends and may be included in an on-call rotation for after-hours support.
Currently, the contract work location requirement is to work in the office at the customer’s site once weekly at a minimum. This is subject to change.
