Principal Project Manager (Hybrid)We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Project Manager with 11 to 14 years of experience in Portfolio and Project Management (PPM). The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and a proven track record in managing complex projects. Experience in Networks and Product Management is a plus. This role will involve overseeing project portfolios ensuring alignment with business goals and driving innovation.Location : Irving - TX, Tampa - FL, Basking Bridge - NJ, Alpharetta – GA.Cognizant will only consider applicants for this position who are legally authorized to work in the United States.Responsibilities:
Lead the planning and execution of project portfolios to ensure alignment with business objectives.Oversee the development and implementation of project management methodologies and best practices.Provide strategic guidance and direction to project teams to ensure successful project delivery.Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and mitigating risks.Ensure effective communication and coordination among project teams and stakeholders.Drive continuous improvement in project management processes and tools.Develop and maintain project documentation including project plans, status reports, and risk management plans.Facilitate project meetings and workshops to ensure alignment and progress.Provide mentorship and support to project managers and team members.Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.Utilize technical expertise in Portfolio and Project Management to drive project success.Leverage domain knowledge in Networks and Product Management to enhance project outcomes.Qualifications:
Possess a Bachelors or Masters degree in a relevant field.Have a minimum of 11 years of experience in Portfolio and Project Management.Demonstrate strong technical skills in PPM.Show experience in Networks and Product Management is a plus.Exhibit excellent communication and leadership skills.Display a proven track record of successful project delivery.Hold relevant certifications in project management such as PMP or PRINCE2.Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Show proficiency in project management software and tools.Possess strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.Exhibit the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between
$113K – $180K depending on experience and other qualifications
of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.Benefits:
