As an Associate Director, Sales Data Management, Data Strategy and Governance you will be responsible for ensuring data integrity and quality by overseeing commercial data management processes and providing cross-functional support on sales data management related projects. With a strategic focus on data excellence, this role will serve as a key advisor to the commercial organization, transforming data into a strategic asset to drive business value.Core job responsibilities include:Oversee commercial data workflows which includes fidelity in operations of data warehouse as well as governance process around it.Delivers enterprise data insights, supporting cross functional analytics teams with high quality commercial data like Sales, Claims, EMR, Specialty Pharmacy (SP), Copay etc.Lead the intake, staging, and processing of Specialty Pharmacy (SP) data, ensuring data is properly structured and processed for optimal usability.Oversee prioritization and updates for data warehouse sustainment requests across franchises, enabling continuous improvement.Design and maintain a data quality framework tailored to commercial data management, actively identifying and addressing potential data integrity issues to deliver high-quality data to analytics and operations teams.Facilitates business rules discussions with cross-functional teams and other stakeholders.Perform data analytics and provide analysis to the cross-functional stakeholders based on business needs or questions.Partner with IT and other commercial functions to build, enhance, and innovate on key systems and processes supporting commercial data needs.Explore new technologies to innovate and help other team members in areas of data investigations, data conflicts etc.Knowledge & SkillsStrong project management skills and demonstrated ability to drive large and complex cross-functional projects.Strong working knowledge of relevant software systems (e.g. MS Excel, Access, MS Word & PowerPoint, etc.) is required.Knowledge of SQL, and/or other BI tools (MicroStrategy, Tableau, etc.) is preferred.Ability to work with and coordinate demands from multiple internal customers; highly collaborative.Demonstrated excellence in strategic and tactical analysis and proactive planning.Ability to recognize and interpret business issues/opportunities and recommend solutions through analysis.Ability to present complex information in an accurate and persuasive manner to all levels of management.Ability to effectively communicate technical and qualitative information to non-technical executives through interpersonal, verbal, and written channels.Deep knowledge of pharmaceutical data (Specialty data, Retail, Non-Retail Sales, Claims, Payer) and systems (CRM, Customer Master, Data Warehouse, Sample systems, etc.).Experience implementing/leading a tech stack for analytics is highly desirable.Basic QualificationsBachelor's Degree and 10 years of experience orMasters' Degree and 8 years of experience orPhD and 2 years of experience.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Data Management, Information Systems, or a related field.Proficiency in data management tools and platforms.Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a matrixed organization.Ability to effectively communicate technical and qualitative information to non-technical executives through interpersonal, verbal, and written channels.People Leader AccountabilitiesCreate Inclusion - knowing the business value of diverse teams, modelling inclusion and embedding the value of diversity in the way they manage their teams.Develop Talent - understand the skills, experience, aspirations and potential of their employees and coach them on current performance and future potential.Empower Teams - connect the team to the organization by aligning goals, purpose, organizational objectives and holding to account.The salary range for this position is: $177,905.00 - $230,230.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
