How you will contribute to our National Security and Defense mission:
As a Space Development Program Manager with MTSI, you will work with SpaceWERX, the center of innovation for the Space Force, identifying, acquiring, and integrating innovative capabilities. You will help manage small business programs within SpaceWERX and provide information to assist decision makers.Responsibilities:Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:
* Supports Space Development Agency (SDA) leadership in developing small business program and acquisition documentation, creating program schedules, tracking program status, performing risk management, and managing integrated product teams.* Analyze and provide recommendations for potential changes to existing acquisition related policy, guidance, and directives, including assessment of the impact on existing programs and projects.* Plan, coordinate, and execute various SpaceWERX and SDA related events.* Plan and monitor acquisition and Small Business Innovation Research (SIBR) / Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) program transition issues.* Collaborate with program managers to streamline validation requirements for companies within the SBIR/STTR portfolio.* Assist in managing the large number of SDA SBIR/STTR projects, including coordinating program reviews, tracking milestones, and collaborating with technical SMEs.* Coordinate acquisition planning and reporting across multiple organizations and keep senior leadership informed of status and results.Qualifications
* Minimum of 10 years of Program/Project Management or Project Engineer experience.* Experience working Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition projects.* Minimum bachelor's degree in any of the following: business, economics, program management, math, science or engineering.* Excellent oral and written communications skills, organizational and workload management, and interpersonal and teambuilding skills.Even better if you have these desired skills:
* Provide technical and program management support to DoD technology development efforts.* Experience using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project for financial and schedule analysis of technology projects.* Knowledge in working with SBIR and STTR programs is highly desired* Experience in a DoD acquisition program office is highly desired.* Space acquisition experience is highly desired.Clearance Requirements:
* Must possess an active Secret clearance.* A TS/SCI clearance is highly desired.
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
* This is a hybrid position,
applicant is expected to be in the office in Chantilly, VA 2-3 days a week.* Occasional travel may be required to government and industry locations.
