You will be supporting several innovative, highly technical, and fast-paced space sensor developmental programs. These critical programs will procure, test, and deliver national space assets to the warfighting Combatant Commands.Specific Skills Required:Working knowledge of applicable DoD acquisition directives to support the development of Missile Defense System (MDS) acquisition policy, plans, processes, procedures, and guidance for MDS development and fieldingExperience with developing Acquisition Plans, Justification and Approvals, Request for Proposal packages, Statements of Work, and Contract Data Requirement ListsAbility to interpret MDA acquisition guidance to support acquisition planning and MDS program integrationSupport the development of acquisition implementing/operating instructions, directives, plans and policiesExpertise in strategic planning, acquisition strategy development, and development of key acquisition documentation to support acquisition strategy approval and executionPrepare planning documents to coordinate integrated acquisition strategies within the MDS and OGA partnersPrepare MDS acquisition documentation and executive-level decision papersDemonstrated experience supporting and interacting on a daily basis with high level DoD Officials (O-6 and above, GS-15/NH-4 equivalent), sitting on-site with the DoD Program Office and ability to deliver products successfully in a fast paced environment (on demand)Prepare and staff Directorate of Acquisitions actions for functional and technical review and comment; perform internal and external Agency coordination and reportingDemonstrated capability to develop reports, information papers, decision papers, and briefings for senior leadership and external stakeholder leadershipExperience in cost, schedule and performance management for a space-based program and/or a DoD systemPossess knowledge of acquisition processes/activities required to support the evaluation of contract performance against the program baselinesExperience translating technical requirements into contract requirementsCapable of working independently or leading cross-functional teams to research, track, and complete ad hoc tasks associated with the PWSDemonstrated ability to organize and execute meeting logistics and represent the Directorate at higher-level meetings as requiredAbility to track, coordinate, and manage information requests from both internal and external agenciesAbility to collaborate and both troubleshoot problems and support the needs of theAbility to draft and brief complex acquisition solutions, i.e. Other Transactions (OT) and hybrid acquisitions or equivalentOutstanding written and oral communication skillsQualifications

BA/BS in related field with 15 years relevant experience; MA/MS, PMP or DAWIA Level III certification may substitute for 3 years of experience5 years as a program manager/deputy program manager or leader for a Federal or Defense Acquisition program(s)5+ years leading an acquisition team and delivering critical complex acquisition products across multiple acquisition programs15 years directly supporting a Federal Acquisition or DoD program(s) as an acquisition/program analyst overseeing cost, schedule, and performanceAbility to lead a program through DoD milestones or MDA's Major Defense Acquisition Programs (MDAP) equivalentAbility to lead a strategy through an Acquisition Strategy Panel and Acquisition Strategy Board or equivalentAbility to review, process, and formulate strategy products for flag or Senior Executive Service (SES) review/decisionDesired Skills:Experience with Other Transactions Authority contract mechanismsExperience in one or more program offices is highly desirableProficiency in MS Office suiteCurrent Secret Security Clearance Required and eligible for TS/SCIPlease Note: U.S. Citizenship is required for most MTSI positions.Pay Range:The pay range for this position in Colorado is $120,000/year to $160,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract rates, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors. MTSI also offers a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided per the Colorado Equal Pay Act.
