p style="margin: 0px;"Director of Quality Assurance/pp style="margin: 0px;"The Director of QA supports the retailers overall program objectives through the leadership of the QA team and implementation of key QA processes. The role manages relationships with retailer cross-functional teams, customers and manufacturers. They will also be expected to demonstrate a deep level of industry best practice, and leveraging that experience to influence strategic decisions, providing adjustments to current processes and procedures to maximize efficiencies that align with the retailerrsquo;s objectives./pp style="margin: 0px;"nbsp;/pp style="margin: 0px;"Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities/pp style="margin: 0px;"br /Leadership: br /bull; Lead through influence and collaboration. Communicate with key stakeholders to ensure that projects are aligned with Private Brand objectivesbr /bull; Develop deep understanding of Daymon and customer strategy and vision with this QA partnershipbr /bull; Direct a large team of QA/Food Techs that service the QA function corporately and for multiple retailer accounts. Provide technical support for internal quality lab and operations br /bull; Prioritize and assign all resources to enable timely delivery of high-quality processes and strategies within budgetbr /bull; Lead investigation teams and ensure proper close out and follow up.br /bull; Develop a high performing team and ensure training and learning of team membersbr /bull; Make decisions independently and notify management of action takenbr /bull; Industry and Customer Knowledge:br /Industry Knowledge:br /bull; Maintain a deep industry and global working knowledge of basic QA and Food Science/Safety tools and methodologiesbr /bull; Highly skilled at frequent collection and organization of disparate pieces of information into a clear and concise business case; present internally and to customersbr /bull; Author and review SOPs, policies to ensure compliance and adherence to regulations operationsbr /bull; Display understanding of the project's value proposition for the customerbr /bull; Maintain and update local, state, and federal programsbr /Business Objectives Management:br /bull; Responsible for coordination, implementation, and maintenance of QA programbr /bull; Direct the design and implementation of site policies and proceduresbr /bull; Develop new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance activitiesbr /bull; Review complaints, concerns or questions relative to compliance issuesbr /bull; Develop plan of action and lead team to completionbr /bull; Estimate testing efforts, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activitiesbr /bull; Support implementation of cost, quality, and service improvement initiativesbr /bull; Develop comprehensive training plan to ensure QA standards are taught and implemented to team members and stakeholdersbr /bull; Review all documentation, including Reports and monitoring databr /bull; Authorize changes in procedures to help minimize product wastebr /bull; Control and distribute work instructions, forms, and logs in all departmentsbr /bull; Actively support escalated issues from both internal and external customers br /br //pp style="margin: 0px;"Supervisory Responsibilities/pp style="margin: 0px;"Direct Reportsbr /- Hires, retains, trains, coaches, guides, directs, and develops direct reports using company-wide processes, tools and resources/pp style="margin: 0px;"Indirect Reportsbr /- This position does not have guidance or mentoring responsibilities for indirect reports/pp style="margin: 0px;"nbsp;/pp style="margin: 0px;"Travel and/or Driving Requirements/pp style="margin: 0px;"- Travel and Driving are not essential duties or functions of this job/pp style="margin: 0px;"nbsp;/pp style="margin: 0px;"Minimum Qualifications The following are the minimum job-related qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the jobbr /Education Level: (Required): Bachelor's Degree Masterrsquo;s of Science preferred/pp style="margin: 0px;"nbsp;/pp style="margin: 0px;"Field of Study/Area of Experience: Food Science or Related Fieldbr /10+ Years of experience/pp style="margin: 0px;"nbsp;/pp style="margin: 0px;"Skills, Knowledge and Abilities br /Ability to Direct, Lead, amp; Develop Peoplebr /Excellent Written amp; Verbal Communication Skillsbr /Well Organized, Detail Oriented, amp; able to Handle Fast Paced Work Environmentbr /Flexible amp; Adaptable, able to change amp; Alter According to changes in Projects or Business Environmentbr /Knowledge of generally accepted practices, procedures, amp; standard policy amp; procedure development techniquesbr /Ability to Gather Data, Compile Information, amp; Prepare Reports/pp style="margin: 0px;"nbsp;/pp style="margin: 0px;"Job Will Remain Open Until Filled/p
