Thank youThe Staff Pharmacist inOncology is responsible for providing patient-centered care in amultidisciplinary practice setting with pharmacists, nurses, physicians, andother personnel. Services provided include (but are not limited to): Assessing patient therapy forappropriateness, incorporating age specific modifications, and clinicalinterventions to prevent adverse drug events.They will also conduct clinicalresearch and other professional development programs. He/she will serveas a liaison to other departments at the Cancer and Infusion Center byproviding operational support and educational services for new treatmentregimens.The Staff Pharmacist in Oncology demonstrates in-depth knowledge ofthe regulations governing the preparation of intravenous admixtures,chemotherapy, and other sterile products and supervises Pharmacy techniciansand other support personnel.Provides oversight and participates inmaintaining and storing adequate inventory of all medication required for thepractice.Develop and update department and nursing policies.Work with theOncology team to standardize ordering procedures for chemotherapeuticmedications.BERKSHIRE HEALTH SYSTEM WILL NOT CONSIDER ANY TRAVELER WHO RESIDES WITHIN 50 MILES OF FACILITY.
