Position Purpose:
The Category Manager is responsible for executing the overall short- and long-term sales strategy for assigned categories. Responsibilities include working in conjunction with Product Development, Souring, Product Engineering, Merchandising, and other Private Brand teams to drive sales for assigned Private Brand product category. Includes assisting with product review presentations, working with suppliers, executing product line strategies, and reporting financial results to leadership.
Key Responsibilities:20% - Assortment Selection - Executes the business review of category/categories on a regular basis; determining changes to product mix to better optimize assortment and drive innovation.40% - Category Management - Collaborate with THD Private Brands and merchants to drive operational excellence for resets, product launch, and in stock.40% - Strategic Team Leadership - Serve as a single point of contact for assigned category for merchandising, internal THD teams and suppliers.Direct Manager/Direct Reports:

No travel required.Physical Requirements:
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions, there may be a need to move or lift light articles.Working Conditions:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.Minimum Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age or olderMust be legally permitted to work in the United StatesPreferred Qualifications:
