This role serves as a consultant to management on Human Resources related issues, acts as an employee engagement champion and change agent, and assesses and anticipates HR-related needs.Primary Responsibilities & Duties:Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and engagement, increase productivity and retention. Effectively serve as a change agent to build the credibility of the HR function balancing the voice of the employees while supporting the leadership team/business.Provides guidance and input on the locations’ organizational structure, workforce planning, succession planning, and other strategic planning and analysis.Partners with US Business Group Human Resources to use consistent processes, procedures and compliance.Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues; conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations and maintains documentation for possible legal issues.Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (recognition/reward, coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions, etc.).Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies.Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.Provides HR Policy guidance and interpretation.Identifies training needs for the location and individual line management coaching needs; participates in evaluation and monitoring of success of training programs and follow-up to ensure training objectives are met.Partners with the USBG HR team on the development, communication, implementation and follow-up of our employee engagement strategy.Ensures employee engagement programs that have been developed and identified are executed at the plant location.Manages HR related activities such as recruitment of hourly employees, FMLA/ADA administration, attendance, onboarding and offboarding employees, performance management and compliance.Plant expert in our Human Capital Management System (UKG).All other projects and tasks as required.Required Education & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred.Minimum of 5 years HR experience with a minimum of 2 years leading a site/plant HR function.Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including recruiting, employee relations, leave administration, employee engagement, organizational diagnosis, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.Relevant industry experience (i.e., metal fabrication manufacturing) is a plus.Practitioner experience in a Human Capital Management System; UKG experience is a plus.Skills & Abilities:Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to develop strong trusting relationships in order to gain support, achieve results, and build credibility.Effectively envision, develop, and implement new strategies to address competitive, complex business issues.Manage multiple conflicting priorities.Ability to be flexible and available to interact with employees at all levels.Ability to be self-directed and motivated.Take initiative to identify and anticipate client/business/employee needs and make recommendations for implementation.Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities
