EY’s Life Sciences Consulting Services team assists clients in finding the right balance between protecting the business and driving measurable value.The opportunityEY has a robust life sciences commercial practice, helping clients with strategic growth, business transformation, and commercial excellence. This senior role within our Consulting practice will have the opportunity to lead large engagements, build solutions, lead teams, and innovate in the market. Our practice works with large pharma, biotechnology, medical device manufacturers, and medical technology industries. You will be an integral member of our life sciences consulting team and spend most of your time focused on providing client services in the following areas: business transformation, commercial operations, commercial data and analytics, commercial strategy, market access, growth strategy, operating model optimization, technology implementation and enterprise transformation.Your key responsibilitiesMost of your time will be spent supporting client engagement teams and working with a wide variety of clients to deliver professional services in the life sciences domain.Skills and attributes for successStrong prior experience in Life Science commercial strategy with a focus on operational models. Additional experience in market access and commercial analytics will be a plusPrior experience working in Strategy focused boutique life sciences or internal strategy roles with top biopharma clients (e.g., Merck, Pfizer, BMS)Experience managing a team of at least 5 reports in a dynamics fast paced settingEffectively manage and motivate client engagement teams with diverse skills and backgroundsLeading large-scale client engagements and consistently delivering quality client servicesMonitoring progress, managing risk and ensuring key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomesManaging expectations of client service delivery and staying abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the client's businessFostering an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment by playing an active role in counselling and mentoring junior consultants within the organizationDeveloping and maintaining long-term client relationships and networks.Developing relationships with team members across all EY practices to serve client needsRemaining current on new developments in the life sciences advisory services capabilities and industry knowledgeTo qualify for the role, you must haveBachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business, Biology, Pharmacology6+ years biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry experience and experience providing advisory services in these industries, focused in at least one of the following areas:Commercial analyticsBrand strategyPricing and market accessDigital campaign management strategyFamiliarity with pharmaceutical datasets (e.g. pricing databases, prescription and claims databases, etc.)Experience with commercial operations and analyticsProficiency in Excel and PowerPointThe executive presence to interact with the C-SuiteA willingness to travel to meet client needsSignificant advisory/consulting experience is within life sciences is requiredIdeally, you’ll also haveLife science or biomedical background and experience in data analytics and commercial operationsPhD in life sciences or bio-focused engineering disciplineWhat we look forWe’re interested in passionate leaders with a strong vision, those who enjoying working collaboratively to solve problems, and a desire to stay on top of trends in the Life Sciences industry. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $127,100 to $233,000. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $152,500 to $264,800. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances.
