Job Description
The Supervisor - Quality Assurance is responsible for supervising the Quality Assurance activities for the plant to include syrup and/or beverage preparation and distribution, microbiology, sanitation, finished product analysis, package integrity testing, process control, and all current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs) are being followed. Also ensures Food Safety System Certification (FSSC) 22000 and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001 principals are adhered to including Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), Food Safety and Food Defense.What your day will look like:
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the UNITED policies and applicable lawsInterview, hire, and train associatesPlan, assign, and direct workAppraise performanceAddress complaints and resolve problemsBuilds positive associate moraleSupervises day to day environmental compliance including data gathering of stormwater and wastewater information, hazardous material management for the QA Department, and the auditing thereofEnsures local, state, federal, and Coca-Cola quality standards are met for products produced by the facilityMaintains the Coca-Cola/Parent Company Quality Standards and supervises associates who do the sameInvestigates and reports on plant-specific consumer complaints and performs trend analysis. Reports findings to plant ManagementSupervises the efforts of the Plant including Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) plan, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) compliance, International Organization for Standardization (ISO) compliance, auditing, and corrective action planning activitiesPerforms appropriate duties as assigned by managementWhat you need to succeed:
Minimum age 18 years oldValid driver's license required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policyPersonal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policiesRegular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the jobAbility to read, write and speak EnglishAbility to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelinesAbility to maintain safety and security of Company assetsAbility to utilize all Company provided resources and technologyStrong leadership and organizational skillsProven ability to coach and manage needs and concerns of multiple associatesAssociate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceHazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) Certification preferredCorrective Action and Root Cause Analysis Training preferredSAP and Coca-Cola One North America (CONA) experience preferredWillingness to work weekends, holidays, or flexible schedule as requiredWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Experience in operations and manufacturing operations preferredExtensive experience setting up, operating, and troubleshooting various lab equipment used in Quality AssuranceAbility to work in high stress environments and multitask effectivelyExcellent customer service, and quality management skillsEffective use of technical skills to analyze and, problem-solveAbility to facilitate trainingFrequent standing, walking, exposure to water, and lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 25 lbs.Repeated bending, kneeling/squatting, reaching overhead and exposure to noiseCCBCU is an Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled.
