Production Manager

Our client, a growing manufacturer, is seeking a Production Manager after a recent promotion. The Production Manager is responsible for all daily activities within the plant including production functions, plant organization, housekeeping and other duties as required. The Production Manager is also involved with all plant personnel including hiring, employee development, terminations and disciplinary actions. This position requires the flexibility to work 40+ hours per week and weekends as required. The Production Manager reports directly to the Plant Manager.Job Responsibilities:Practice proper PPE compliance and maintain a safe working record and environmentImmediately communicate unsafe conditions, acts or injuries to Plant ManagerPractice proper forklift operation and preventive maintenanceMeet or exceed facility housekeeping expectationsMaintain and build job skills through company and outside training programsMeet or exceed standard production efficiencies on all production linesTraveling Tooling scheduling and managementTIR maintenance and complianceEnsure proper personnel administrationFacilitation of personnel training and certificationEnsure proper management of operating supply purchases via the internal purchase order system or company credit cardMaintain communication with other Company manufacturing facilities and officesScheduling of weekly production and tooling changeoversMaintain Company product and resin sampling scheduleReview of inventory reports (Min/Max, Over-allocated)Ensure that Company and AASHTO quality specifications are met for all products producedEnsure Wired Plant complianceTroubleshoot equipment/process problemsRaw material inventory and managementUnderstand and practice Companys core valuesPromotes a positive and transparent work environmentJob Skills:This position should possess the following skills/knowledge:Leadership skillsInventory managementFamiliarity with BOM productsMechanical aptitudeMathematical skillsIntermediate computer skillsStrong Interpersonal skillsOperating system knowledge including, inventory and production functionsProficient production equipment knowledgeEducational Requirements:Minimum High School Diploma or equivalentVocational or college degree preferredPhysical Requirements:The employee will lift and move heavy items, which will require the ability to repeatedly lift 75 pounds to a height of 6 feetFacilities can be extremely hot or cold at times, so the employee must have the ability to perform physical labor for extended periods of time in temperature extremesThe Position requires full range of body motion on a daily basis including twisting, bending, reaching, squatting and ability to mount/dismount industrial equipment and vehiclesThe employee will be working for a specified amount of time and moving around at all times, which will require the ability to stand and be mobile for a minimum of 8 continuous hoursThe employee will be handling materials daily, which requires the ability to use hands, arms and legs to physically handle and transport finished goodsThe annual base salary range for this position is $90,000 to $120,000.Keywords: Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Plant Manager, Operations Manager, Assistant Plant Manager
