Position Summary: The Senior Director of Operations is a vital role responsible for overseeing MHIs business operations, including outsourced HR, accounting, insurance policies, compliance, and general administrative functions. This individual will streamline processes, support staff, manage resources efficiently, and work closely with senior leadership to ensure the organizations smooth operation and financial health. Key Responsibilities: Oversee outsourced HR services, including benefits administration and PTO tracking. Ensure compliance with HR policies and provide support for MHI staff. Manage outsourced accounting services, overseeing accounts payable, expense coding, payroll, 401(k) administration, investment advisors and annual audits. Evaluate existing processes and identify areas for improvement in efficiency, workflow, and resource allocation. Lead efforts to clarify, standardize, and streamline operational procedures for maximum efficiency. Oversee general business operations, including insurance policies, business entity filings, and tax filings. Drive the preparation of the annual budget, worki with executive leadership, staff and outsourced accounting teamto ensure adherence to department budgets. Support the President, CEO, and other team members with accounts payable, expense reporting and expense coding. Maintain office leases, manage relocation efforts if needed, and support lease negotiations. Supervise the Office Manager to support office functionality. Ensure proper access control to banking, accounting software, and other critical resources. Implement best practices for credit card processing, check deposits, and account management. Collaborate with staff to ensure process adjustments support MHIs culture of quality, efficiency, and flexibility. Qualifications: Education:

Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field. An advanced degree (MBA or similar) is a plus. Experience:

Minimum of 8 years of experience in operations management, business administration, or a related role, ideally within trade associations or similar organizations. Certifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) is preferred, particularly for candidates with a strong financial or accounting focus. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is desirable for process improvement and efficiency initiatives. Certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) for candidates with HR management experience. Skills:

Strong skills in strategic planning, process improvement, financial management, and organizational development. Technical Proficiency:

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar), Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and familiarity association database or CRM platforms. Leadership and Communication:

Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage change, and communicate effectively at all organizational levels. Attributes:
