Immediate Temp IT Tech Support role for about 3 months – could lead to more as a foot in the door to a great company we’ve been staffing at for about 15 years.

TITLE:

IT Technical Support/ DeskSide Refresh

LOCATION:

Camarillo, CA – Hybrid & onsite, traveling to different locations

NOTE:

MUST live locally in So Cal to service different sites and have a clean CDL (Thousand Oaks, Hawthorne, Torrance, El Segundo, CA.)

DURATION:

To be determined – approx. 3 months – This is potentially a contract to Direct Hire/ FTE role

HOURLY:

about $30hr non-exempt (DKKD Staffing has filled many roles with this client for the past 15 years)

”We are looking for DeskSide Support people with high-energy, fast learning-curve ability, who have current/recent experience. We don’t want people who actually want to be doing something else, because this could become an employee role (and then grow). This role is really running around fixing user issues, installing software (just using their credentials), reimaging and building machines so nothing fancy.

Clean CDL to drive to each location

(willing to travel between sites, Camarillo, Thousand Oaks, El Segundo, Hawthorne, Torrance, CA)

Hourly Pay Rate:

$30hr non-exempt

Not currently working/ avail immediately and open to 3 months plus temp

OVERVIEW:

Responsibilities:

Provide local client IT support for the LA Region (Thousand Oaks, Hawthorne, Torrance, El Segundo, CA.)

Install hardware/software, perform hardware refreshes, and manage break-fix of hardware/software.

Respond to all tickets assigned to the site’s deskside support group and resolve issues efficiently and effectively.

Research and utilize necessary resources to troubleshoot new problems while escalating those unable to be resolved.

Create Knowledge Base articles as repetitive issues arise.

Provide site IT support encompassing:

PC configuration and troubleshooting – OS, hardware, and software;

PC maintenance/preventative maintenance;

PC replacement (tech refresh);

Printer installation, networking, configuration and troubleshooting;

New user setup on Active Directory network;

Support for client applications;

Troubleshooting phone issues that Service Desk cannot resolve and escalates to local support.

Support for peripherals such as monitors, scanners, external hard disks, USB devices, keyboards, mice, etc.

Maintain department loaner equipment and administer checkout process.

Call software and hardware vendors to request service regarding defective products.

Support equipment used in conference rooms and auditorium.

Perform project work as directed.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Associate degree (A.S.) from two-year college or technical school in a related field or Information Technology certifications preferred and 3 years’ experience in an Information Technology service & support role; OR

High School diploma or equivalent required and at least 5 years of experience in an Information Technology service & support role; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
