Any call offs or additional RTO on unit, could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR.Minimum Years of Experience: 3 Years required.Traveler Experience: unit does NOT accept first time travelersLocals Accepted / Rate Difference: YesSkills: Telemetry, Vents.Ratios: 1: 3-6, Flex based on patient populations (PCU-M/S). this position will take MS up to PCU depending on needs.Shift: NIGHTS 36 hours only, Unit will accept contracts from 13 weeks+ up to March 15, 2025 (hard stop) to get the unit through the holidays!!Float Requirement: Yes, traveler will work with the CNRO(Centralized Resource Nursing Pool),Float Pool currently covers three separate campuses. Majority of shifts will be at the main campus but shift can also be scheduled and New Hanover Orthopedic Hospital and Pender Memorial Hospital. Staff are notified 2hrs before the start of the shift. Candidates will float all medical/Surgical floors, PCU’s, Cardiac floors, Rehab, BHH, PACU, and our inpatient holding space for ED. Candidates will not float to the ICUs unless taking a stepdown or modified assignment with an ICU RN as primary.Weekend Requirement: EVERY OTHER WEEKENDPATIENT DIAGNOSES: Caring for patients across the inpatient spectrum from medical surgical, cardiac, progressive care/step down, and stroke.SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: FLOAT POOL UNITUNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication): PYXIS, EPIC, SBARSCHEDULING TYPE: Based on scheduling gapsUNIT ORIENTATION: 24 hoursSCRUBS: NavyJob Requirements

Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster.Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed.
