This position will play a pivotal role in managing and developing transportation-focused drainage projects for our public sector clients, including cities, counties, and transportation departments. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting projects, utilizing their expertise in BMP design, storm water permitting, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, and roadway drainage system layout and design. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package.Responsibilities: Lead and manage the design and development of drainage projects for transportation infrastructure. Assist with the development and management of a variety of transportation-focused drainage projects for public sector clients. Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, BMP design, and storm water permitting. Design and layout roadway drainage systems. Review, design, and understand construction plans, specifications, and estimates. Coordinate with multi-disciplinary project teams to ensure project objectives are met. Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and design staff. Maintain and develop relationships with existing and potential clients. Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, and standards.Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Biosystems Engineering. Minimum of 6+ years of prior related drainage design experience. Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a similar role. Previous experience with hydrologic/hydraulic modeling applications (e.g. SWMM, HydroCAD, HY-8, Microstation/Geopak/ORD, and/or AutoCAD). Licensed Professional Engineer (PE). Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, and estimates. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and relevant engineering software. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
