About the role:As a Technical Product Owner for TQL, you will serve as the voice of the customer to guide development teams in building software capabilities with the highest business and customer impact. You represent the needs and priorities of the IT Department to prioritize and manage the technical product backlog, and drive adoption to IT's self-service portal for developers. For technical products, such as the self-service portal, you serve as the voice of technical users to provide tools and automation that help contribute to the IT organization's goal to modernize and improve efficiency.

Act as the voice of the customer to guide all stages of software development to deliver maximum value to the organization.Build and maintain the backlog by working with business, product, and technical stakeholders to understand business opportunities and end-user needs. Break down epics to identify and prioritize features to be delivered to meet those needs.Hold refinement sessions to proactively review upcoming epics with development team members to understand technical effort and external dependencies. If applicable, collaborate with external dependencies to retrieve what the development team needs prior to working on the epic.Work with business and technical stakeholders to develop and document user stories with strong acceptance criteria.Lead sprint planning to determine the team's objectives for the upcoming sprint; have strong influential ability to explain the why behind the sprint goal.Lead the sprint review ceremonies to present the output from the most recent sprint to applicable key stakeholders and development team.Participate in other agile ceremonies such as stand-ups and team retrospectives to be available to the team, answer questions, and work toward continuous improvement.Implement best practices for tracking and reporting product impact and product health metrics to understand the value being delivered, usability, and availability of the product.What you need:
Bachelor's degree preferred, but you do not need one to be successfulDevelopment experience in Information Technology and/or strong tenure within TQL preferredEffective communication to collaborate with executive stakeholders and drive department-wide adoptionAt least 3 years of experience in a Product Owner role preferredProduct Owner certifications (e.g. Certified Scrum Product Owner, Professional Scrum Product Owner, or SAFe Product Owner Certification) are a plusAbility to understand complex business problems and identify and interpret business needs to propose solution(s)Strong influence, facilitation, and collaboration skills with ability to effectively communicateExceptional work ethic, organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
