Freight Operations Coordinator- Weekends (Saturday-Monday 6:00am-6:00pm)

Invoices shipments (PGIs) in SAP, files BOLs, communicates with freight drivers to assign dock doors and provide paperwork, communicates with carriers to resolve issues and arrange transportation, update shipment tracking information in spreadsheet.
Major Responsibilities:
Audit information to ensure that the trailer shipments and paperwork matches what is in SAP.
Review shipments in a Load Start status (e.g., shipments that do not have a tracking number)
Contact Carriers: contact for LTL/FTL carriers when there is potential damage (e.g., Platinum Cargo Logistics)-forwards to Supervisor for help as needed; contact for Tamex trailer schedules; contact carriers for tracking/further assistance; requests sprinter van/straight truck pickups; email Jones to schedule shipments as needed (e.g., shipments going to Waukesha)
Provides tracking information for OFS/Sales: research tracking numbers when they are missing or something/someone needs updating; research orders when tracking numbers are missing; look for and provide missing BOLs/Trailer information for OFS/Sales; work with Freight Resolution
Create Commercial Invoices of international shipments
Verify Driver’s Loads based on information they provide and Driver’s credentials
Greet drivers and give them door assignments
PGI shipments
Update shipping schedule (Smartsheet) for Outbound/Inbound schedule
Review BOLs for accuracy (Trailer number, Seal number, GPS tracker, etc.)
Conduct final verification of completeness for managed customer requirements
Interact with customers during scheduled pick ups
File BOLS and other paperwork
Manage PECO pallets via PECO website
Update MDI charts
Minimum Job Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent
1-3 years of experience in a shipping environment
1-3 years working within an enterprise software system (preferably SAP)
Preferred Job Requirements:
2-3 years of experience in a shipping environment
2-3 years working within an enterprise software system (preferably SAP)
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
Detailed oriented and organized.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to solve problems.
Ability to perform basic reading, writing and math functions.
Models positive and professional work ethics.
Able to learn SAP proficiently.
Process shipments quickly, accurately, and efficiently to meet company and carrier demands.
Basic Skills with MS Office (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook).
Accountability-Demonstrated skill in drive for results, action orientated and perseverance.
Transparent Communication: Demonstrated skill in written communication.
Conflict Management & Resolution – Demonstrated skill in standing alone. Change management – Demonstrated skill in process management and managing through systems.
