PPMC has an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Practice Provide to join the PPMC Hospitalist team as it expands in capacity.
All Advanced Practice Professionals function under the guidelines as designed by Penn Medicine medical staff and are credentialed through that body. The Advanced Practice Professional will be held accountable through a formal job description, delineation of privileges, and through a Written Practice Agreement with their supervising physician. All clinical work hours and associated requirements will be defined and managed under the direction of the supervising physician and within the Human Resource guidelines. The Advanced Practice Professional will contribute to excellence in education, leadership, professionalism, and clinical practice.
Responsibilities:
As a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, you will work closely with Hospitalist attendings caring for 2 subsets of patients:-Inpatients who have been admitted and stabilized-Observation Patients who are admitted to the service from the Emergency Department.
You will ensure appropriate care, patient education and continuity of care upon discharge.
You will collaborate closely with your fellow APPs, Hospitalist attendings, consultants and other ancillary staff to manage the care and safe handoff of patients as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:
Acute Care Certified CRNP or PA-C with a Masters required
Must have an active and in good standing license in Pennsylvania as a CRNP or PA-C before start date
Current AHA, ACLS and BLS certification required
APP must be reviewed by the Credentials Committee and approved by the Medical Board
Schedule: 7 shifts per 2-week pay period which consists mostly of day shifts (10 hour) with shared responsibility of evenings, nights and weekends.
