Job Duties
The Dept of Environmental Quality's Land Division is seeking a qualified candidate. This position administratively supports DEQ's Petroleum Tanks Program and its major term contracts. The position is responsible for ensuring purchase orders and change orders for services are entered and processed in compliance with state procurement law and internal policies. The position will work with subject matter experts in the Petroleum Storage Tanks Program and Procurement to contract with customers and vendors to meet program goals. The position is responsible for purchasing goods and services to support agency goals and working with the vendor community to achieve customer service goals.
Minimum Qualifications
Administrative experience coordinating business functions for a program area.Knowledge of state procurement law, methods of procurement, and contract administration.Computer proficiency in software applications for word processing, spreadsheets, and database programs, including proficiency with the full MS Office Suite.Demonstrated skill in inputting data into an automated database.Basic knowledge and use of statewide central electronic procurement system and financial systems.Frequent communication with central office staff, regional office staff, and vendors. Knowledge of small purchase programs.Knowledge of FOIA principles related to procurement activities.Must complete Statement of Economic Interests Certification / Conflict of Interest Training at hire and every two years.
