THE POSITION
Test Engineer, Continental Autonomous Mobility US, LLC, Auburn Hills, MI:
Actively manages software/systems test progress including driving for solutions and ensuring successful on time execution. Prepares the test and validation product release recommendation, including project test report. Serves as primary interface (internal and customer) for project test related matters as the responsible contact for all tasks within the organization towards the validation and vehicle application within the project. Creates and releases the overall project test strategy (Systems, Software, Hardware, Mechanical), and responsible to consolidate, monitor and drive other disciplines to ensure on time execution of test related activities (coordination of all validation schedules). Aligns all domain test schedules and consolidates into overall project test schedule, and maintains it throughout the project, making sure that there is agreement of necessary milestones and deliveries within the project team towards other stakeholders as well as towards the customer. Monitors and reports the overall project test status including internal and customer level tests, as well as linking of test cases to technical requirements. Organizes the definition of regression strategies with the domain test managers and ensures necessary test coverage. Development of efficient and effective approach together with all other involved stakeholders within the projects.
Telecommuting permitted up to 40% per week. Full time employment, Monday
Friday, 40 hours per week.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors degree in Engineering (any kind), Science, Mathematics or a related field and 2 years of related work experience.
Must have 2 years of experience in each of the following:
Developing automotive electronic or electromechanical products;Using IBM Rational DOORs or DOORs NextGen for requirements engineering or management;Test and validation experience (including software, product, vehicle, algorithm or hardware testing experience); andActing as lead validation tester in a development project.
Must have 1 year of experience in each of the following:
Working with lead engineers in project scheduling; andUsing an issue-tracking tool to report hardware, software and mechanical issues.
