THE POSITION
Technical Project Lead - System/Cross-Discipline Engineering, Continental Automotive Systems, Inc., Auburn Hills, MI:
Direct and manage the technical part of telematics within the time frame, budget and specified quality and responsible for the general technical consistency of the engineering. Manage and Lead all R&D functions (EE, SW, ME, SYS, SYT, SEC) within the project's core team. Promote the technical concept and agree on the schedule, estimates and risks within R&D for the automotive project development. Participate in the creation of budgets or offers regarding the technical concept for the telematics ECUs, list of materials, schedule, financial calculation or pricing, and support the presentation to the client in the automotive connectivity. Negotiate and agree on the allocation of adequate resources at the right time against the work packages the R&D disciplines (EE, SW, ME, SYS, SYT, SEC). Support the preparation of the project plan, provide or coordinate the effort estimation. Responsible for supporting the development, testing and DV/PV of the product for the telematics ECUs, and act as the main interface for the client regarding the technical issues in any area (EE, SW, ME, SYS, SYT, SEC).
Telecommuting permitted up to 60% per week.
Full time employment, Monday
Friday, 40 hours per week.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors degree in Electrical, Software, Computer or Mechatronic Engineering or a related field or foreign equivalent, plus 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience.
Must have 5 years of experience in each of the following:
Leading engineering teams in a product development environment; andTechnical software, systems, electrical engineering, or product management contributor.Must have 3 years of experience in each of the following:Working in a large-scale distributed project setup;ECUs including HUBs, Door controls, Seta controls, and FOBs; andLeading teams in at least 1 (one) of the following development areas: Electrical Engineering (EE), Software Engineering (SW), Mechanical Engineering (ME), System Engineering (SYS), System Test Engineering (SYT), or Cybersecurity.
Must have 1 year of experience in using Automotive-SPICE.
