Job Description: Receptionist
Purpose Statement
The job of Receptionist was established for the purpose of greeting and directing visitors. The Receptionist responds to inquiries from the public, parents, students, and staff by providing requested information and/or referring to other parties. When time permits, the Receptionist provides general clerical support.

Excellent organizational skills
The ability to multi-task when needed
A proactive self-starter who quickly learns new duties
Ability to establish and maintain effective and positive working relationships with parents, students, co-workers, and volunteers
Provide great customer service
Skilled in Microsoft Office and Infinite Campus
Ability to operate standard office equipment and tools for clerical duties
Bilingual, Spanish-speaking preferred
Essential Functions
Open front office by 7:30 each morning
Answer telephone for the purpose of responding to inquiries and/or taking messages
When the office is busy, following priority procedures
Taking care of students in the front office
Taking care of parents in the lobby
Answering the phone
Greet individuals entering the building, respond to inquiries, and direct visitors to the appropriate location using established building security procedures
Answer general questions from parents and students
Collect money and write receipts
Maintain organized reception area materials for the purpose of providing information to parents and visitors in an efficient manner
Assist Health Aide when needed
Perform general clerical functions (e. g. copying, faxing, filing, data entry, etc.) for the purpose of supporting office operations
Keep supply rooms and lounge stocked
Maintain office equipment or coordinate repairs with contracted company
Other related duties as assigned.
Starting Hourly Rate: $14.42/hour
215 working days in the year; additional days in the summer may be needed.
