ATSS has a client in Mobile, AL looking for First Class Marine Electricians
Electrician (First Class)
Demonstrate thorough knowledge of various tools and test equipment used for installation, maintenance, operation and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
Must demonstrate ability to interpret and work from owner supplied drawings, job specifications, instruction manuals, manufacturers handbooks, change order, and contract specifications.
Demonstrates proficiency by supervisory sign off practical factors. Will be required to update daily work packages, read and use schedules and sign for completed work/inspections on QA records.
Test internal circuits of major units of electrical equipment for continuity, short circuits, and grounds and measure electrical quantities and compare with established values.
Inspect trip shafts, toggle linkages and all other mechanical parts to see that they operate freely without binding.
Inspect mechanical and electrical connections including mounting bolts and screws; draw out disconnect devices and control wiring.
Detect and locate grounds, open circuits and short circuits in distribution generators and systems.
Maintain and repair telephones, circuits, and associated equipment.
Ability to respond to voice commands and audible alarms.
Install new power and lighting circuits.
Use appropriate sections of IEE, ABS, Coast Guard and manufacturers tech manuals and ships information book in repairing electrical equipment and installing electrical equipment.
Must be familiar with all safety procedures pertaining to or where to obtain electrical procedures.
Must be very knowledgeable of work/safety procedures and manual.
Demonstrate by practical examination technically proficient in tasks, work processes, and equipment. Accountable for completion of daily work assignments with limited supervision.
Develop and deploy lockout/tag out for work being performed.
Work in full compliance with quality, safety, environmental and health regulations.
Must sign off for work on QA records.

Voltage tester
Screw driver (flat blade and cross tip)
Socket set
Combination wrench set (3/8 to )
Adjustable wrench
Utility knife
Hex key set (3/16 to 3/8)
Slip groove pliers (channel locks)
Wire stripper
Terminal crimper
Side cutting pliers
Diagonal cutters
Tape measure
Craft specific tools, other than hand tools listed above, may be checked out through the tool room against your badge. All shops tools must be signed out in the tool log book and signed in when returned.
