Who we are and what we do:The Tennessee Department of Treasury impacts the lives of Tennesseans every day. Treasury is responsible for many of the financial operations of state government, including managing more than $100 billion in assets through its various investment programs. We administer the State's Retirement Program, RetireReadyTN, which combines the state pension plan, Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System, and the State's Deferred Compensation plan. Treasury serves all Tennesseans by helping to educate and empower individuals to make informed financial choices, and by providing public-serving programs in the areas of college savings, financial literacy, unclaimed property, criminal injuries compensation, and moreJob Overview:Under general supervision, performs the activities involved in proactively identifying process improvement and technology needs of the business area; leading IS projects, gathering and documenting business requirements; maintaining vendor solutions; and serving as liaison between the business area and the Information Systems (IS) Division. At the present time, this position is primarily remote, with occasional required in-person meetings. It is anticipated that the department will regularly utilize its downtown Nashville office on a hybrid schedule in the future. Job location is subject to change at the discretion of the Department. The successful candidate should live in Tennessee and provide sufficient internet connection.Key Responsibilities:Responsible for translating business needs into technology solutions to support and implement computer systems and applications to meet the needs of the Treasury Department's internal and external end users.This includes the following:Collaborates with project sponsors to determine project scope and vision.Facilitates creation of a project plan by identifying high level user stories.Active participant on project teams and collaborates with testing analysts, customers, developers and vendors.Documents requirements that clearly communicate the business needs and follow documentation standards.Reviews and provides feedback on testing strategies, test cases and test results and participate in testing activities, as needed.Facilitates and manages user acceptance testing and user training and provide applicable user testing and training guides.Supports existing Treasury applications with requirements gathering and/or problem solving and troubleshooting techniques.Performs configuration changes on Treasury COTS systems to meet the business needs.Minimum Qualifications:Graduation from a college or university with a bachelor's degree and five years of professional level experience in business analysis, project management, quality assurance, application design, software development of business information systems.Preferred Certifications:
