Job Description

Essential Responsibilities **
Under the supervision of the Lead Recruiter, the Onboarding Specialist is responsible for the recruitment process from beginning to end to include but not limited to coordination of NTO (New Training Orientation), onboarding, and quality control checks on all information entered.

Key Responsibilities
Smart Recruiter:
● Continuous communication with store’s GMs and DMs to ensure we are meeting the store’s hiring needs.
● Post new job requisitions and if needed; update job requisitions every 30 days.
● Review and contact applicant within 24 hours of submitting application.
● Assist stores with scheduling face to face interviews.
● Confirm background checks and motor vehicle reports are clear and meets company’s expectations.
● Follow up with stores on the interview status and collect interview sheets from interview panel.
● Scan/save interview sheets for each store.
● Move applicants to proper stages in Smart Recruiter and update in Road to Hire
NTO (Minimum of one per week and alternate Saturdays)
● Coordinate NTO and provide support to the DM when necessary.
● Track qualified applicant’s new hire paperwork and ensuring it is complete before their scheduled NTO.
● Collect, validate, and scan all required documents collected from new hires during NTO.
● Ensure I9 form is complete, new hire is converted in Alliance and activated in Pulse.
● Assist with vehicle inspections.
Building the Brand
● Promoting the company’s reputation and attractiveness as a great employment opportunity.
● Job Fairs once a period (every 28 days) to target “Red Alert” staffing stores.
● Help monitor and maintain Social Media accounts.
● Update and track the weekly success on Indeed postings.
● Conduct stay and exit interviews and provide information to HR and Training leadership for future training and coaching opportunities.
● Builds applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, and internet sites.
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Communication:
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively via oral or written means. Ability to present friendly and positive demeanor to applicants, staff, external Onboarding sources and the public. Ability to make oral presentations.
Composure:
Ability to remain calm, professional, and maintain self-control during difficult circumstances.
Computer:
Proficient knowledge of Word and Excel with strong internet research skills.
Creativity
: Ability to create and design effective Onboarding material.
Decision Making
: Ability to set work priorities and to evaluate and create solutions to work related problems. Ability to think analytically and evaluate the impact of hiring decisions.
Organization
: Ability to plan as much as 6 months ahead. Ability to keep various on-going projects organized and files maintained accurately. Above normal levels of concentration and memory required. Requires good time management practices and the ability to meet multiple deadlines.
Training:
Ability to keep trainees engaged and actively participating. Ability to develop effective methods and materials for training.
Machines, Tools, Equipment, and Work Aids:
Multi-line telephone, computer, printers, copiers, faxes.
Physical Requirements:
Occasional – Ability to lift, stack, move, up to 25 pounds from varied heights.
Occasional – Ability to drive safely and recognize hazards.
Working Conditions:
Indoors:
**** 95% - Office environment; normal noise conditions. Occasional moderate stress during peak hiring periods.
Outdoors:
5 % - All weather conditions and variable temperatures.

License:
