Number of Beds: 32Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:4-5, occasional 5-6 on nights, PCU level care overflow on the unit 1:3Common diagnosis/Types of patients: Adults and geriatrics, Cardiac caths, EP studies, pacers, and ETOH, Covid Bipap, occasional general surgical with heart history, medical patients with cardiac history, pneumonia covid, acute on chronic conditions, influenza, sepsisIs there a Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment?: Yes, both shifts, occasionally take a light load 2-3 patientsAre there nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit? Ratios? Duties?: Yes- 1:10 is the goalAre there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Tele portable monitors and monitors in the rooms, and tech at the nurses stationScrub Color/Dress Code/Scrubs Provided? Any color scrubsHow many shifts of unit/department-specific orientation? 2- 12 hour shifts, Friday and Saturday of the first week of orientation and on own by that SundayAdditional Details
Bipap, trachs, airvo etc. - RNs required to troubleshootMore of a tele/cardiac unitRadius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or DignityRTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract).
