# of Beds: 32Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:4-5, occasional 5-6 on nights, PCU level care overflow on the unit 1:3Common diagnosis / Types of patients: adults and geriatrics, Cardiac caths, EP studies, pacers, and ETOH, Covid Bipap, occasional general surgical with heart history, medical patients with cardiac history, penumonia covid, acute on chronic conditions, influenza, sepsisIs there a Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment?: yes, both shifts, occasionally take a light load 2-3 patientsAre there nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit? Ratios? Duties?: Yes- 1:10 is the goalRT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.) Are RNs required to do anything with these besides trouble shoot? Bipap, trachs, airvo etc.Are there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Tele portable monitors and monitors in the rooms, and tech at the nurses station.Additional Details
Department: Med/Tele RNFloating Requirements: All areas as helping hands, PCU for full patient load of PCU, MS for full patient assignment, some ER Holds/boardingScrub Color/Dress Code/Scrubs Provided? any color scrubsHow many shifts of unit/department specific orientation? 2- 12 hour shifts, Friday and Saturday of first week of orientation and on own by that SundayMore of a tele/ cardiac unitRadius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
