We are currently seeking a Configuration Management Specialist to work in a collaborative and innovative environment supporting Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC). This is an amazing opportunity to directly support the global Command and Control Mission Support (C2MS) program. You will be part of the Enduring Product Management Engineering and Development team supporting the C2MS program at our Florida facility. This team is made up of various engineering disciplines to cover the breadth of AFSOC mission sets. Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities Track and control changes in software to include revision control and the establishment of baselines. Configuration Identification: identify configurations, configuration items, and baselines. Configuration Control: Implement, set up and sustain a change control board whose primary function is to approve or reject all change requests that are sent against any baseline. Configuration Status Accounting: Record and report all necessary information on the status of the development process. Configuration Auditing: Ensure that configurations contain all their intended parts and are sound with respect to their specifying documents, including requirements, architectural specifications, and user manuals. Build Management: Mange the process and tools used for builds, to include creation and update of Software Version Descriptions (SVDs) or Version Description Documents (VDDs) and other documentation. Process Management: Ensure adherence to the organization's development process. Manage Technical Writers in their assignments and provide necessary information and direction. Coordinates and quality checks Release and Program documentation to ensure timely delivery. Maintain a table/schedule of document deliverables. Responsible for reviewing, organizing and uploading documentation for software builds. Write and update documentation and processes, as necessary. Enter applicable defects from System Integration Testing into Team Foundation Server for resolution and tracking. Back up Configuration Management for producing and delivering software builds, and documents. Oversees and tracks Lessons Learned for corrective actions. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree 1 - 3 years of experience or 5 - 8 years of experience without a bachelor's degree. Knowledge of SharePoint and MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel). Active Secret clearance. Desired Qualifications Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite.
