A large system in Nebraska/Iowa are looking for a night ICU RN. 12 hour shifts, 36 hours guaranteed. 2 years of unit experience.Job Requirements

12 hour shifts, 36 hours guaranteed.Shifts & Scheduling: 0630-1900, 1830-0700. Schedule is done by unit scheduler.Weekend Requirements: Every other.Holiday Requirements: Varies, based on unit needs.Unit Specific Information
Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:2, if we do have downgrades we staff the medical patients at 1:5 and PCU at 1:4Common diagnoses/Types of patients: COPD, pneumonia, CVA, TIA, DKA, sepsis, CHF, STEMI, neuroAre there nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit? Ratios? Duties?: Yes- 1 tech until we get to 20 and then 2 techs up to 24Hospitalist &/or Intensivist in house 24/7? In the ICU 24/7?: 24/7Are there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors?: RNs must read and interpretRTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.Additional Details
ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.*AUTO OFFER*Department: ICUAre RNs required to titrate drips?: YesCommon titratable &/or set rate drips: Vasopressors, Insulin, TNK, Heparin, IV Antibiotics, SedativesRT Equipment (Vents, BiPap, High Flow, etc.). RNs must read and interpretFloating Requirements: Will float to PCU and Medical floorsScrub Color/Dress Code: Navy BlueHow many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: First week system orientation and onboarding. 1-2 12 hour shifts of unit orientation
