Must have Charge experience. MUST HAVE STRONG NEURO EXPOffering but not requiring 48/4x12 hour contracts (OT billed after 48)BLS, ACLS required via American Heart Association; NIHSS requiredSkills required: vents, IV start, Telemetry, PA Lines, Conscious Sedation, Neuro IV titration, Insulin IV experience, strong Neuro experience required (post brain surgery, EVD exp/ventriculostomy)Patient types in SDU: This is a general SDU with a variety of patient populations. We primarily see: pulmonary – acute respiratory failure secondary to pneumonia, COPD exacerbation, and/or CHF exacerbation; cardiac - NSTEMI/STEMI not requiring ICU level of care and/or downgrade from ICU, +/- cardiac cath, CHF/CMO requiring BIPAP/diuresis, AFIB with RVR requiring Cardizem/Amio gtt, or complete heart block awaiting AICD/Pacemaker; sepsis not requiring pressors; minor trauma – hip/femur/ankle fracture s/p fall; CIWA; DKA requiring insulin gtt; some surgical patients – surgeries typically go to MedSurg or ICU however we do see the occasional vascular surgery (arterial bypass or compartment syndrome requiring neurovascular checks) and/or post-op complications from MedSurg.Typical Ratios are 1:4, sometimes 1:5Must be EPIC proficient - NO EXCEPTIONS3 years experience preferred (will consider strong candidates without 3 years), travel experience preferredLocal Rules: No RN candidates will be accepted if they reside less than 50 miles from facility.
