QA Tester

Akkodis is seeking a QA Tester for a Contract job with a client in Addison, TX (Hybrid) . The candidate will be responsible for ensuring software quality in a fast-paced setting while delivering results to meet customer needs. Rate Range: $50/hour to $60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. QA Tester job responsibilities include: Perform both manual and automated testing to ensure the quality of software applications. Develop, execute, and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts, ensuring coverage of all functional requirements. Conduct database testing to verify data accuracy, consistency, and integrity. Work within an Agile environment, collaborating with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to deliver quality releases. Utilize tools like Selenium or UFT to automate repetitive test cases and improve testing efficiency. Identify, document, and track defects, collaborating with development teams to ensure timely resolution. Participate in retrospectives and contribute to the improvement of testing processes and methodologies. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate test results and issues clearly to stakeholders. Desired Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. 3-5 years of experience in manual and automated testing. Proficiency in Selenium or UFT for test automation. Expertise in database (ETL) testing and strong SQL skills.
